The earth is precious.
The earth is the medium through which my ideas and thoughts take shape. It is the body and a medium, but also the essence. A precision of being that keeps us grounded and hands-on. Earth, and Ceramic, lend themselves well to representing things, simple and complex.
ROSEBUD LAMPS ARE THE EVOLUTION OF THE WHITE-BLUE CERAMIC STYLE. THE PIGMENT HAS BECOME THE INTERIOR LIGHT AND THE DESIGN IS NOW CONTEMPORARY.

STUDY OF 20TH-CENTURY INFORMAL ART, GESTURE AND FEELING. The design culture I was born into collided with the more instinctive, step-by-step approach of informal techniques. I worked on the form and "shaping" of an object in progress, allowing the most expressive and profound part to emerge according to my personal taste and aesthetic sense rather than through a reflexive process.
Through an intentional process of deformation, or deconstruction, or destruction, the earth acquires another form: it is an experience of “reformation” in several steps between informal and formal states.
